Day 5 we sailed to Koblenz, Germany and visited Marksburg Castle, the 700-years-old castle on the Middle Rhine that has never been destroyed. There are many medieval castles along the Rhine, mostly ruined. Some are rebuilt and publicly owned as museums; others are privately owned and operated as hotels.
